Designed by illustrator Yumi Kitagishi, each pencil board features a whimsical, storybook-style scene filled with charming animals and everyday details. The boards are available in three sizes to fit the corresponding Hobonichi planner formats: Original A6, Cousin A5, and Weeks.

The pencil board provides a firm surface underneath the planner page, helping keep your pen steady and reducing unevenness caused by the pages underneath. It also features 1 mm markings along the long edge, allowing it to be used as a convenient ruler for quick measurements.

Each pencil board includes a TODAY tab in the corner. When inserted into your planner, the tab can also function as a bookmark to help you quickly find the current day's page.

Original A6

The Original A6 design features two cats spending time in a colorful, cheerful room filled with favorite furniture, clothing, and stuffed toys. The reverse side is blue with a small window detail.

Cousin A5

The Cousin A5 design depicts a group of animals enjoying time together in a garden, with a table filled with cakes. The reverse side features a soft pink background.

Weeks

The Weeks design is titled Animal Apartment and shows a red-roofed apartment building where a variety of unique animals live. The reverse side is bright yellow-green and continues the apartment theme.
