This cover is a collaboration with PYT, the ready-to-wear line created by Japanese fashion brand BYT. The brand began with one-of-a-kind clothing made through careful handwork and has developed a distinctive style known for thoughtful details, expressive color combinations, and unexpected accents. The Tokyo in bloom/rabbits pattern was created by designer Kamiya during the stay-at-home period of the COVID-19 pandemic, when traveling outside Tokyo was difficult. Inspired by flowers around the designer and the rabbit figures seen along the daily walk to the atelier, the pattern grew naturally from these familiar surroundings.

The textile features regularly arranged dots across a layered gray background. Fine weaving in contrasting black and shimmering silver threads adds depth and definition to the design.

A particularly distinctive detail comes from intentionally using the reverse side of the fabric in parts of the pattern. Threads extend around the edges like delicate fringe, creating softly blurred outlines and a more dimensional appearance.

A round zipper pull adds another subtle accent and is debossed with the PYT logo.
