Hobonichi Techo minä perhonen piece A5 Cousin Mix Planner Cover 2027

The Hobonichi Techo 2027 planner cover from minä perhonen features the popular piece, series, created by combining small fabric remnants from clothing into hand-pieced patchwork.

For the cousin mix design, 10 different textiles are carefully combined to create a distinctive patchwork pattern. The selection includes textiles such as ballade, inspired by the dreamlike scene of snow melting and flowers beginning to bloom, and forest card, introduced for the 2025–26 Autumn/Winter collection. Together, the fabrics evoke a forest landscape where flowers and animals move gently with the breeze.

The inside is made with genuine cowhide leather and features an embroidered butterfly detail. Two bookmarks made from small embroidered beads are also included, adding a delicate handmade touch.

Because each piece of fabric is cut differently and the patchwork is sewn together by hand using a sewing machine, the fabric arrangement varies from cover to cover. Each cover therefore has its own individual pattern and character.

minä perhonen was founded by designer Akira Minagawa. The brand began as minä in 1995 and adopted the name minä perhonen in 2003. In Finnish, “minä” means “I” and “perhonen” means “butterfly,” reflecting the designer's wish to create light and beautiful patterns inspired by the delicate wings of butterflies.
