The Hobonichi Techo Cousin Avec 2027 is a two-book version of the Cousin daily planner, designed to provide the same spacious A5 format in a lighter and more portable design.

The full year is divided into two books: January–June and July–December. The first book features a lime yellow cover, while the second book features an ice blue cover. Separating the year into two volumes makes each book thinner and easier to carry, while also providing more room for photos, tickets, notes, and other items without making a single planner too bulky.

The basic page structure and layout are based on the standard Hobonichi Techo Cousin. The Avec version has differences in calendar coverage and the amount of additional reference pages.

Each day provides a full page for schedules, journaling, notes, drawings, photos, tickets, and other creative uses. The planner also includes yearly calendars, monthly calendars, and a yearly index, along with the Cousin's signature weekly vertical schedule. The vertical time axis makes it easy to organize appointments and plans throughout the week.

The planner uses thread-stitched binding, allowing each book to open flat at 180 degrees for comfortable writing without needing to hold the pages down.

Inside, the planner uses Tomoe River paper, a thin, lightweight, and durable planner paper known for its smooth writing experience and compatibility with ink.

Additional pages at the back include Favorites, My 100, information about the 24 solar terms, journaling prompts, useful sign language references, and a neighborhood guide to Kanda and Jimbocho.

The Hobonichi Techo Avec is designed to be used with a compatible Hobonichi cover. The same covers used with the standard Cousin can also be used with the Avec version. Covers are available separately in a variety of colors, materials, and designs.
