The fabric used for this cover is inspired by Kinran, a traditional brocade technique historically made by weaving narrow threads created from paper covered with gold leaf. yuge fabric farm has transformed this heritage-inspired textile into a simple and elegant planner cover designed for everyday use.
The fabric was sourced through yuge fabric farm's unique “Fabric Rescue” initiative, which discovers unused and overlooked fabrics from Japan and overseas and gives them new life through contemporary design. The material used for this cover was recovered from a factory in Hiroshima.
The Uroko pattern resembles overlapping fish scales and has a long history in East Asian decorative arts. Inspired by traditional patterns associated with carp and dragon imagery, the motif has been regarded as an auspicious and prestigious design. Its refined woven texture and vivid yellow appearance give the cover a distinctive presence.
The interior features a silver finish with the yuge fabric farm logo printed on the left pocket. A pen hook secures the pen by its clip, allowing the cover to maintain a clean silhouette when closed.
Two bookmarks in different thicknesses are included in a subdued gray tone. Their different sizes make it easy to use them for separate purposes, such as personal planning and work notes, while the deliberately simple design keeps the overall appearance understated.
