Product Description

The piece, planner cover is a collaboration with minä perhonen, a Japanese fashion and textile brand known for creating original fabrics through techniques such as embroidery, dyeing, and weaving.

The piece, series is made by hand-piecing small fabric remnants created during the process of making clothing. Different textiles, materials, and production techniques are combined through patchwork, giving each cover its own distinctive appearance.

The original mix design brings together nine different textiles, including ballade, a pattern inspired by the arrival of spring as snow melts and flowers begin to emerge, as well as happy bloom, introduced for the 2025–26 Autumn/Winter collection. The fabrics are thoughtfully arranged to evoke flowers and animals surrounded by a gentle forest breeze.

The interior is finished with light-yellow genuine leather and features an embroidered butterfly detail. Two bookmarks made from small embroidered beads are included, adding a delicate finishing touch.

Because the fabric pieces are individually cut and the patchwork is sewn together by hand, the arrangement of the textiles varies from one cover to another. Each piece has its own unique combination and pattern placement.

The piece, original mix cover brings together textile craftsmanship, playful patterns, and natural variations to create a planner cover with an individual character that makes everyday planning feel more personal.

About minä perhonen

minä perhonen was founded by designer Akira Minagawa. The brand began as “minä” in 1995 and adopted the name “minä perhonen” in 2003. In Finnish, minä means “I” and perhonen means “butterfly,” reflecting the designer's wish to create light and beautiful patterns inspired by butterfly wings.
