The Hobonichi Techo “Aurora Duty” Small Drawer Pouch is a compact organizer designed to keep stationery and everyday essentials neatly together. It works like a tidy drawer that you can carry with you, making it easy to keep your favorite and important items organized wherever you go.

The “Aurora Duty” artwork was created by illustrator Hiroko Kubota. The design previously appeared on the English edition of Hobonichi Techo Weeks 2023 and became a popular illustration before being adapted into this Small Drawer Pouch.

The front depicts a quiet night beneath the sky of a northern land, where a white bear holds up a large flag. The bear appears to be on “aurora duty,” responsible for bringing the Northern Lights to the night sky. On the back, another bear arrives with a warm drink to share. Glitter details are used to recreate the beautiful aurora glowing across the night sky.

When the zipper is opened, the pouch lays flat, allowing you to see the contents at a glance and quickly find what you need. Three slim pockets on the left are ideal for cards, business cards, rulers, scissors, and other flat items.

The right side features a mesh pocket for pens, masking tape, charging cables, and other bulkier accessories. An elastic band helps keep pens securely in place. A deep exterior pocket provides convenient access to items such as pencils and tickets.

Despite its useful storage capacity, the pouch has a slim profile with a narrow gusset, allowing it to fit neatly inside a bag. The loop-shaped zipper pull makes it comfortable to hold and easy to open.

It can also be used to organize stamps, bankbooks, receipts, and other important small items, helping keep your desk or bag tidy and organized.
