Created through a collaboration between Hobonichi Techo and the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) in London, this HON design draws from the museum's world-renowned collection of decorative arts.

The cover features “Vine,” a William Morris design depicting richly grown grapes surrounded by lush foliage. Originally created as a hand-printed wallpaper in 1873, the design reflects Morris's deep appreciation for nature and the ideals of the Arts and Crafts movement.

To preserve the character of the original hand-printed artwork, the design is printed on a canvas-like textured material. Details such as the visible sketch lines and subtle variations in the original coloring are carefully represented, giving the cover an artisanal appearance.

The cover is finished with a gold-foil quotation associated with William Morris:

“Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.”

The HON uses thread-stitched binding, allowing the planner to open flat to 180 degrees and remain open without needing to be held down. The pages use Tomoe River paper, a lightweight and durable planner paper with a smooth writing surface that works well with ink.

Designed with one page per day as its main format, this planner starts in January with Monday as the first day of the week and is available in both Japanese and English editions.
