The Hobonichi Graph Notebook “Sparkler Night Sky” features an illustrated cover created in collaboration with illustrator Hiroko Kubota. Originally popular as a Hobonichi Weeks design in 2024, the artwork captures a quiet nighttime seaside scene filled with stars, a cat holding a sparkler, and a fox on the back cover.

The sparkler’s fireworks are highlighted with aurora foil, creating a delicate shimmering effect that changes with the angle of the light. The illustrated sky is complemented by a distant townscape that adds a warm, lived-in feeling to the peaceful nighttime scene.

Inside, the notebook uses lightweight and durable Tomoe River paper and opens flat to 180 degrees. The pages feature the same 3.7 mm grid used in Hobonichi Techo Original and Cousin planners.

The grid color changes every 60 pages in A6 and every 72 pages in A5, following a red, blue, green, and purple sequence. This makes it easy to separate different subjects within one notebook and locate notes later.

Both sizes correspond to Hobonichi Techo Original and Cousin dimensions, allowing the notebook to be used with compatible Hobonichi covers. It can work as a planner companion, a dedicated writing notebook, or a compact notebook for everyday notes and ideas.
